ICF Chennai chapter provides opportunities for accredited training providers (ACSTH or ACTP or CCE) to advertise their coach training or events with us. ICF Coach Training events provides coach-training programs with a competitive edge both in their content and stature. Coaches worldwide recognize ICF as an industry leader and turn to us for information about training and continuing education. ICF accreditation will give your program unquestioned credibility and the ability to expose your services to a wider network of coaches
Accredited training providers can post an event that is part of an already-accredited ACTP, ACSTH or CCE program, or an event that qualifies as Resource Development (training, writing, research, or self-study outside of the ICF Core Competencies that contributes to the professional development of a coach).
Your event will be posted on the calendar on the start date of the event. If you want your event posted on the calendar on multiple dates, you will need to purchase multiple event calendar postings. Please check the sponsored event section to know more.

International Coaching Week (ICW)
Launched in 1999, International Coaching Week (ICW) is a week-long global celebration that educates the public about the value of working with a professional coach and acknowledges the results and progress made through the coaching process. It is a celebration of the art, science and practice of professional coaching in the world. In this week, ICF Chapters across the world host a variety of ICW events, webinars, conferences, educational workshops, panel discussions, public coaching demonstrations, pro bono sessions and many more activities. ICF Chennai Charter Chapter has hosted ICW over the last few years with pride and enthusiasm.
ICW 2021
During ICW, individuals and organizations all over the world are encouraged to understand, explore, test and discover the possibilities coaching provides.
They have the opportunity to join a variety of ICW events, webinars, conferences, educational workshops, panel discussions, public coaching demonstrations, pro bono sessions and many more activities organized by our ICF chapters and members in their local communities.
ICF Chennai Charter Chapter collaborated with other India Chapters to host this year’s ICW. Each day of ICW week was hosted by one Chapter, and our Chapter was the host on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
This year we have built a complete virtual event, on the Global ICW theme and have integrated it with our Chapter vision GROW and are excited & proud to present 3 sessions in a Mini-Conference style – “Defying Challenging times to GROW” on 18th May 2021.
The first session was on Defying Challenging times to GROW with Digital-Learning. An “Instagram Masterclass for Coaches” led by Mehroo Turel.
The Second Session was a Leadership Keynote Address by Pat Mathews, MCC, Chair – Global enterprise Board, in conversation with Vijayalakshmi S, MCC, ICF Chennai Charter Chapter President.
The third session was a unique Global Coaches Community Connect hosted by ICF Chennai Charter Chapter Board, offering a safe space & wonderful opportunity for ICF coaches from across the world to come together – to connect, support, collaborate & GROW!

ICW 2020
Last year, ICW saw the coming together of all the India Chapters to offer weeklong celebrations of Coaching. The event was positioned as an annual celebration of the power and impact of professional coaching. The key objective of ICW was to showcase the power and impact to Individuals, Organizations and Communities. Towards this, each Chapter hosted one of the days of ICW.
Chennai Chapter focused its session on Coaching and Women. We had a keynote address focusing on the theme, followed by an all-women panel discussion on how Coaching can enable women to realize their potential. This was followed by a Coaching demo where all participants could experience a real-life coaching session. We also contributed to the final session of Coaching in the Education sector.
The highlight of this year’s ICW was the launch of International Coaching Day on May 6, 2020. ICF Chennai played the lead role in co-designing this ICW innovation. Read more about ICD below:
2020 will undoubtedly be remembered for COVID-19 as this pandemic is touching lives of people around the globe, and our world is facing an unprecedented crisis. In the days, weeks and months ahead we will need coaches and coaching more than ever. ICF’s 25th anniversary was an opportunity to acknowledge and deliver the enormous power and impact of professional coaching.
On May 6, 2020, we demonstrated this first-hand with our Inaugural International Coaching Day. On this day, ICF coaches from around the world had donated an hour of virtual coaching to someone in their community. We invited every ICF Coach in India to pledge to donate one hour of pro-bono, virtual coaching to someone in ours. We organized a virtual daylong event that was spread over five 90 min sessions, comprising of over 50 coaching sessions that were offered via zoom simultaneously. We are proud to share that close to 100 participants took part in ICD 2020.
On January 28, 2021 our Chapter reached a very special milestone. We were recognised as a Charter Chapter of ICF. Being a Charter Chapter is a recognition of our chapter’s growth, stability, good governance and compliance. It is an indicator of the successes ICF Chennai has achieved since its inception, just a few years ago! Above all else, it is a testimony to every coach, volunteer & leader in our Chapter, past & present who has worked hard to make this milestone possible. Each one deserves a salute! And to the wonderful spirit of community that is a trademark of ICF Chennai!

Celebrating Credentials
This brand-new feature was released in January 2021 as an innovative way to acknowledge & celebrate the credential achievements & the commitment to excellence by the Chennai Charter Chapter’s Members & Associates.
Every month, this feature captures the Coaches, who got their ICF Credentials namely – ACC/PCC/MCC the month before. For example, March 2021, will capture the details of Coaches who got their ICF Credentials in the month of February 2021.
This feature stays true to the Chapter’s Vision of GROW Coaches, Coaching, Chapter & Community, & ticks all of them!
